Variable:Hypothermia
Description:

Hypothermia is defined as a core body temperature of less than 35°C.439 Following injury, hypothermia may be caused by an increase in heat loss resulting from environmental exposure, infusion of cold fluids, or the administration of anaesthetic drugs. In shocked patients, decreases in heat production may be due to reduced metabolism.
