Variable:Shock
Description:

Haemorrhagic shock is defined as a state of tissue hypoxia due to inadequate tissue perfusion. The degree of haemorrhagic shock is catagorised as: None (SBP always > 90mmHg, ? 2 units blood transfused in first 24 hours following injury), Compensated (SBP transiently below 90mmHg, > 2 units blood/24 hours), or Uncompensated (SBP consistently below 90mmHg, massive blood transfusion, trauma induced coagulopathy). The degree of haemorrhagic shock is directly related to the adequacy of tissue perfusion.
