Welcome to EECS
Welcome to the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. Of course, you’d expect us to do teaching and research in the two disciplines that make up our name, but there is much more to the School than that. As well as degrees in Computer Science and in Electronic Engineering, we have degrees in Audio Systems Engineering, Media and Arts Technology, Computer Vision, Telecommunications and more. Our research stretches from the Theory of Computer Science, to Electromagnetics and Antennas, and from Digital Music to Information Retrieval, with a lot more in between.
We have around 750 undergraduate students here in London and 2200 on our Joint Programme in Beijing. There are about 150 MSc students, and just over 200 PhD students, all also in London, though in the next year or two, we will be adding MSc and PhD programmes with our partners in Beijing too. To make all this happen, the School employs about 90 teaching and research staff, from Professors in Computational Creativity to Lecturers in Networks.
I’d like to invite you to browse our web site and see in more detail what we can offer you, whether you are a school-student, a graduate, an employer or a research organisation. If you want to know more, each page has a contact point. And check our Twitter feeds …
