Yue Chen, received her BEng in Radio Engineering and MEng in Optical Communications from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), Beijing, China, in 1997 and 2000, respectively. She received her PhD in Telecommunications from Queen Mary University of London (QM), London, UK, in 2003 and MBA degree from Open University, UK, in 2013.
Currently, Yue Chen is a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor at the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, EECS, QM. She is the QM Director of Joint Programme with BUPT, an award-wining transnational education programme highly recognised both in UK and China, which nurtures highly skilled graduates in Telecommunication, e-Commerce Engineering and Internet of Things Engineering fields. She is also the EECS Director of Joint Ventures who is responsible for frosting research and teaching collaborations between QM and other prestigious institutions worldwide.
Her research interests include radio resource management for 4/5G wireless networks, cognitive and cooperative wireless networking, small cell and heterogeneous networks, self-organising networks, smart grid and optimisation in IoT networks.
