Labs

We provide the template code (Demo.java) to demonstrate how to read/write/manipulate digital images.

• Lab 1 : image I/O with the template code (Demo.java).
• Lab 2 : re-scaling / shifting of pixel values.
• Lab 3 : arithmetic and Boolean operations.
• Lab 4 : point processing and bit-plane slicing.
• Lab 5 : histogram & histogram equalisation.
• Lab 6 : linear filtering.
• Lab 7 : order-statistics filtering.
• Lab 8 : thresholding.
• Lab 9: Coursework completion. You need put all the programmes for the lab exercises together with the template code (Demo.java).
• Lab 10-11: Last 2 lab sessions are for assessment of the Coursework
