The Computer Science Department is inviting industrial speakers to come and give Careers Talks to all undergraduate and msc students. All 3rd year students are expected to attend. The talks will provide you with an insight into your future as Computer Scientists in different industrial sectors.

Apart from short periods in industrial research labs in the UK and the US she hasn't left University (yet). She will talk about what computing research involves, careers in academic and industrial research, getting started on a research career by doing a Masters or a PhD, and answer all those questions you never liked to ask, like what academics do in the vacation, or what is the point of learning more and more about less and less........ |
