Current Research

• Random scene-models. This work derives image-correspondence priors from global 3D scene-statistics.
• Geometric and statistical models of biological vision. I work on computational aspects of binocular vision, eye movements and neural processing.
• Construction and rendering of 3D models from 'time-of-flight' range data. We are working on multiple camera calibration, and on the combination of low-resolution depth maps with high resolution colour images. This is a collaboration with Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, South Korea.
• Active vision for robotics. I wrote real-time image processing and control software for the POP robot heads, as part of a European project.
