What are QGames?

QGames is fun new way to get games for your mobile phone. You start by downloading a game to your mobile phone and then playing it. Is the game too tough? Is it too easy for you? If so, go to the game menu and request a better one. The next game you receive will be made just for you, with the game settings modified according your skill level. The amazing thing is that there are no humans involved, your games are made by a machine just for you! So go on, challenge the machine intelligence with your gameplaying skills.

How Does it Work?

When you send a request to us, a computer looks up the difficulty level of the game you have just played, and then finds a game that will be more suitable for you. The games created are stored rather like a library, where they are sorted by their level of difficulty. But how does the computer know how difficult the games are? Well, it knows this by playing the games! The computer creates a game and uses what's called a "Synthetic User" to play it and work out the expected difficulty levels of each game. Recording the game play skills of real human players creates the synthetic user; their skills are modelled using Artificial Intelligence.
