Keith Clarke

I'm the Systems Manager in the Department of Computer Science at Queen Mary, University of London.

In other lives I've been some sort of materials scientist, obtaining my PhD for a thesis on the optical properties of noble metal alloys; a lecturer in computer science, and senior tutor in this department; and a hacker of compilers/, operating systems & latterly of genealogy software for the Macintosh.

When I really, really want to forget about computers and computing I do voluntary work for the Friends of Barnes Common, which, for my sins, I chair.

I found out about the WWW early, and wrote a web page which was last updated in 1994, at which point I got bored with it.
