Current porfolio
Project manager for SAMURAI and COINVEST. SAMURAI, Suspicious and Abnormal behaviour Monitoring Using a netwoRk of cameras sensors for sItuation awareness enhancement
is a collaborative project funded by the European Commission under the
Seventh Research Framework Programme, research theme Security (2008-2011).
SAMURAI is co-ordinated by Queen Mary,
University of London. COINVEST,
Competitiveness, Innovation and Intangible Investment in Europe is also
a collaborative project, funded under the Socio-economic Sciences and
Humanities theme of the Seventh Framework Programme (2008-2010). COINVEST is
co-ordinated by Imperial College London Business School.
At Imperial College London in 2010, I organised the 2010 CAED Conference which attracted delegates from across Europe, USA and Japan.
Previous work
Prior to working as project manager at Queen Mary and Imperial College,
I worked as the
Sustainability Co-Ordinator for NuGO, European Nutrigenomics
Organisation, an FP6 Network of Excellence at Trinity
College Dublin and University College Dublin, Ireland. I also
spent over three years as librarian at Pobal,
www.pobal.ie (not-for-profit company that manages programmes on behalf
of the Irish Government and The EU ). First professional posts have
involved working with Infologistix,
UK. My work involved starting up a new library service (ADM),
retrospective conversion projects and consultancy. I also enjoyed
spending time working as research assistant in the Interim Music Board
of Ireland and teaching English in Toyota, Japan.
