I am currently a PhD student at the Centre for Digital Music, Queen Mary University of London, under the supervision of Dr. Emmanouil Benetos and Dr. Marcus T. Pearce. The title of my PhD thesis is : "Music Language Models for Audio Analysis". I have previously worked at Ircam in the Music Representation team on rhythm transcription.

My current research area is Automatic Music Transciption, that is to say, extracting from an audio signal a symbolic representation describing what notes were played at what time, usually in the form of a piano-roll, or a MIDI file.

In this area, I focus on finding ways to use the prior knowledge we have on the music being transcribed (coming from music theory, cultural conventions, genre...) in order to improve that process.

My research interests include (but are not limited to) :

  • Symbolic music modelling
  • Automatic music transcription
  • Rhythm transcription
  • Natural Language Processing
  • Neural Networks
