My research interests....

The study of complex networks has grown from the merging of different disciplines (e.g. food web ecology; social network studies in the humanities; network science in computing; economics) into a truly cross-disciplinary approach. The scope for cross-fertilisation is enormous and we are still in the embryonic stages of the field.

I’m interested in networked innovation, organisational idiosyncrasy and evolution of flow in complex networks. These networks, ranging from social, biological and communications, are governed by different modes of organisation, types and strengths of interactions and sizes, are complex, dynamic and heterogeneous; leading to many interesting and yet challenging issues and questions.

I apply my knowledge and research experience in telecoms networks to examine complex networks, particularly in understanding their structural and organisation properties, behaviours, flow/traffic, responses to changes and finding “special” nodes in a network.
