Call for papers

Submissions are invited for a special session on applications of video analysis in retail. The special session will comprise papers on applications of automatic video analysis in retail or similar domains (e.g., casinos, public transport, public spaces) where the focus is not on security, including:

- Shopper tracking
- Shopper behaviour measurement
- Loss prevention
- Customer identification and demographics
- People counting
- Queue monitoring
- Safety & liability

We particularly welcome papers on areas such as:

- Retail applications built on video analytics components
- Video analytics for real-world conditions
- Privacy protection in surveillance systems
- Integration of video with other information sources and sensing modalities
