Dr Ling Ma, PhD

Profile

Dr Ling Ma is a Reader in Software Engineering at the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at the Queen Mary University of London. She also teaches on the Joint Programme between QMUL and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

She is the Director of QMUL-BUPT Joint Teaching and Learning Centre, Programme Director of e-Commerce Engineering with Law and Subject Examination Board (SEB) chair of Queen Mary School Hainan (QMSH).

She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and is actively involved in the HEA fellowship mentoring and reviewing at QMUL. She is a member of the ACM and IET.

She received QMUL Education Excellence Award in 2019.

Software Engineering (BUPT joint programme)

An introduction to modern software development techniques necessary to produce high quality software and to manage the production of this software, and additional practice in program development. The module focuses on communication: ensuring customer requirements have been correctly understood, learning to develop a software as a team, developing clean code and the critical problems of project management.
