Research Interests

I am researching and developing intelligent systems that are capable of taking part in a live musical performance. This requires real-time analysis of audio signals from multiple instruments in order to create a representation of a song that is used by a system to follow a live performance. The research has a variety of creative applications including automatic accompaniment, synchronisation of video and light effects and the integration of robotics into a live performance.
