Dr Maged Elkashlan from the Antennas Group receives the best paper award at IEEE ICC 2014 in Sydney, Australia and at CHINACOM 2014 in Maoming, China

Dr Maged Elkashlan from the Antennas Group has recently enjoyed double success at leading international conferences by receiving the best paper awards at an event sponsored by the European Alliance for Innovation (ChinaCom 2014) and also a conference sponsored by the prestigious IEEE Communications Society (IEEE ICC 2014).

His paper on “Mitigating Cross-Network Interference in Cognitive Spectrum Sharing with Opportunistic Relaying” received the best paper award at the IEEE International Conference on Communications 2014 (IEEE ICC 2014), which took place in Sydney, Australia in the period 10 to 14 June 2014.

Dr Elkashlan was also the recipient of the best paper award at the 9th International Conference on Communications and Networking in China (ChinaCom 2014) which took place in Maoming, China in the period 14 to 16 August 2014. The award was for his work with leading international collaborators on “Interference Investigation for Cognitive Spectrum Sharing Networks with Reactive DF Relay Selection”.
