Public Transport
The Mile End campus is well-served by public transport and is a short walk from either Mile End or Stepney Green tube station.
By tube take the Central Line to Mile End station and walk westwards along Mile End Road (towards the City) or take the District Line or the Hammersmith & City Line to Stepney Green station and turn left as you come out of the station heading eastwards along Mile End Road.
By bus take the number 25 (Oxford Circus to Ilford) and get off near Bancroft Road. There are a number of other services stopping within five minutes' walk of the site, including the 277 (Highbury and Islington to Canary Wharf) and Docklands services. School Buildings - Mile End Campus
EECS has three buildings:
- Computer Science - EECS Reception is room CS 300, access via the stair tower (see map, pin "C")
- Electronic Engineering - access from Mile End Road
- The Informatics Teaching Laboratory (ITL) is adjacent to the CS Building.

Local Area
Queen Mary and Westfield is situated in the heart of London's East End, a vibrant multi-cultural area only 20 minutes by tube from the West End. Nearby Brick Lane is famous for its eclectic market, Indian restaurants and 24-hour bagel shops. Columbia Road flower market attracts visitors from all over London, as do exhibitions at the Chisenhale and Whitechapel Art Galleries. The Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood is a branch of the Victoria and Albert Museum. Nearby Spitalfields, Shoreditch and Hoxton have become famous for having a lively artistic community.
